Crop Clinic - Personalized Support for Your Crops

Expert Guidance for Thriving Crops

The Crop Clinic, hosted by the Department of Agriculture (DOA) at the Dambulla Dedicated Economic Centre’s Agri Information Hub & Seed Sales Center, is here to provide Sri Lankan farmers with expert advice and practical solutions. Designed to address the challenges faced by farmers, the Crop Clinic focuses on key issues such as pest and disease management, soil health, and crop productivity.
Through collaboration with DOA experts and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), we aim to empower farmers with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Most of the sessions are conducted at the Agri Information Hub premises, ensuring a central, accessible location for personalized support.

The Inaugural Crop Clinic

On August 20, 2024, the first-ever Crop Clinic was held at the Dambulla Agri Information Hub & Seed Sales Center, supported by the JICA SHEP & SSC Project. This event brought together local farmers and experts to tackle one of the most pressing issues in vegetable farming: Pest and Disease Management in Vegetable Cultivation, with a particular focus on Bacterial Wilt Impact on Tomato and Brinjal. The session provided actionable strategies and valuable insights, setting a precedent for future clinics.
