🗣Participants:
A total of 31 government officials from 10 countries — Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Thailand, the Philippines, Maldives, and Tajikistan — took part in the training.
📘Program Overview:
- Introduction to the SHEP approach in Sri Lanka
- Market survey at Dambulla DEC
- Field visits and discussions with farmer groups in Nuwara Eliya
- Action plan presentations by each participating country
Over the course of five days, participants engaged in lectures, field visits, and practical exercises aimed at deepening their understanding of the SHEP approach and exploring its application in various agricultural contexts. The training also served as a platform for active exchange of experiences and insights, fostering regional collaboration and mutual learning.
This initiative not only facilitated international knowledge sharing but also contributed to building momentum for the further dissemination and development of the SHEP approach within Sri Lanka.
